So after his first official NBA game, what are your thoughts on Lebron James? I thought he did an excellent job. He showed great composure and definately ready to pass and help out his teamates and not try to control the game himself. What does everyone else think? I'm impressed.
On a side note, David Robinson came to speak at my college on Tuesday. That guy is amazing. An extremely nice guy and very giving and wanting to help those less fortunate.

I think he'll do well, he outscored a bunch of other straight out of highschool players combined.

it'll take time to tell, wasn't Stephon Marbury a right-out-of-highschool 'superstar' too? he seems to kinda be fizzling out

I was very impressed. Probably more by his ability to move the ball and find the open man when he draws the defense than anything. 9 assists in an NBA debut? I don't think anyone expected that.
He needs to find the range on his jumpshot though.

First game he did ok according to the highlights - his second game he sucked ass. The kid may have potential, but I have a feeling he's going to be a bust as the 'next Jordan' that the NBA is trying to make him out as.

I was did not expect that kind of debut, I thought he would come out and play like he did in the preseason. He came out and totaly impressed me, he scored 25 (i think) with 9 assists and a couple of rebounds, totaly unexpected. In his second game he did'nt play bad either, but he has yet to face a dominant defense. I want to see how he plays against the Spurs, Lakers, Nets, Pistons, and other defensive minded teams. The suns and the Kings are offensive teams, until he faces a team with a half decent defense I will not proclaim him "king james". Another thing which could be a problem is his conditioning, because this year he will not be playing a 16 game season, its 118 (i think) game season, huge difference. I hope he does well, one thing that he has that most "out of high school" players dont have is size, he is way bigger than Garnett, Bryant, Stoudemire, and various other high school players were when they entered the NBA. My personal favorite is Carmel Anthony he had a horrible debut 4 for 15 yikes, but I think he has a better shot at being rookie of the year.

Yea I felt bad for Anthony. I think as the season progresses he'll mature faster than LeBron. I tend to think LeBron is gonna be kinda like Kobe and start ball hoggin'. But well see, I still vote Anthony Rookie of the Year.

honestly, i didnt want Lebron James to be this good, because there was too much hype about him. Even the people that didnt watch basketball were telling everyone Lebron was "wicked" and that he was "amazing." But even i admit he did an amazing job, and he came through alot stronger then i thought he would.

Very True, I think if the Cav's keep on losing games, sooner or later LeBron is going to feel more of a need to shoot first rather than pass. That alone will be a problem for him because his shot is not that nice beyond 10-12 feet. Hopefully the cavs can get some W's, if they dont LeBron is going to start trying to win games by himself.

heh silver, i see no point to that arguement. As all the players get "paid" to do well but not all do, thats why people sit on benches.

...he is way bigger than Garnett, Bryant, Stoudemire...
James: 6'8" - 240lbs
Garnett: 6'11" - 240lbs
Stoudemire: 6'10" - 245lbs
Bryant: 6'6" - 220lbs
The only person I see LeBron having a size advantage against is Kobe...
