I have a 1996, 2.0 non-turbo. Car runs just fine except sometimes when I take it out of gear it dosen't stop to idle, it just stops. Sometimes it runs fine. Other times it does not. I was thinking a vacuum problem.

I have already replaced the IAT(intake air temperature sensor). Is this the same thing?

Does anyone know if there is some form of bypass valve for when the car is idling? I know some car's throttle plate will be completly closed while idling and rely on some sort of bypass valve or sensor to allow the right amount of air into the mixture.

There is nothing in my book called an IAC. Is it called something else on this model? Where would it be located?

It should have an IAC, if it would be anywhere, it would be by the throttle positioning senser.,look up Idle Air controle switch
