I have a 2000 Grand Am GT1 which has 3800 Ram Air V6 (this reads on the left and right front fenders), so lately I have seen two Gt's with a V6 H.O., in this same spot. What is this H.O.?

HO always used to mean High Output on the old Pontiacs.

AND BY THE WAY...THE GRAND AM DOESNT HAVE A 3800 IT HAS A 3400:D
THE GRAND PRIX HAS THE 3800 ENGINE

To correct, your Grand Am has a 3400 (3.4L V6), not a 3800. The Grand Prix has the 3800. ;)

Pontiac put the V6 HO labels on '99 Grand Am Gts, but switched to V6 RamAir for 2000 to 2002. It's the same engine, just a different fender badge. All '99+ GTs have Ram Air. 2000+ GTs however recieved a few minor computer tweaks, which added 5 ft-lbs of torque over the 1999.

And you're correct, H.O. stands for High Output, and was commonly associated with the Quad4 HO.
