Engine removal in 1993 Camaro

Got a question, it is probably going to seem dumb to a lot of you, but here is the situation:
I have '65 chevelle that I am going to put a fuel injected LT1, so I found a '93 camaro w/ an LT1 and a 4L60E for a good price, I am going to remove the engine from the Camaro and put it in the chevelle. My buddy tells me to remove the engine in a 93 camaro you must drop it out the bottom (i.e. using some sort of A Frame to lift the entire front of the car, then dropping the lower frame area). I do not believe this, I tend to think that if you remove the Radiator, A/C condensor, etc.... You can pull the engine and tranny out still together. Anyone ever done this? How did you get the eninge out?
Also the 93 LT1 is speed density fuel injection, anyone know of a mass air conversion kit for it?
Thanks,
Karl

Your freind was right, there's not enough room up top to pull the engine out. The windshield extends too about the middle of the intake!

Thanks for the info, but I found some info on www.tpis.com They sell a product called a "happy hooker" it bolts to your intake and allows you to remove the engine from the top. It has an odd kind of U shape that allows the engine to rotate as it is pulled out. For $40 I figure it is worth not having to completely remove the lower end!
