Drag link install

1971 El Camino, recently installed drag link. It rubs on the crossmember under the motor. Anyone got any diagrams or pics of engine bay with engine out? I think I put it in backwards...(damn!) :banghead:

Or.... the people that pressed the ball joints into the link did them on the wrong side.

I don't think you can put it in backwards...the steering wouldn't line up. Is it the correct drag link? Maybe the frame could be bent/twisted? Try looking for signs of the car being in an accident...straightened metal, bolt-holes that don't really line up, etc. Good Luck :)
