Today I was driving from the bank when I looked down and saw that my check gauge light was on and would not go off. So I pulled over to the side of the road and got to looking at all my gauges....my battery is almost gone. What am I gonna do? I was told that it could be the alternator, but it is only a 98 and I wouldn't think that it would need a new one at 50,000 miles. I am so upset and I don't know what is wrong with it!!!!!!!!!

This car is awesome looking, but it is doing crap like this all the time now. Like last month a fuse blew... not big deal....the month before that my headlight motors went out.....130.00 out of my pocket. Now this. I am so frustrated with it. Has anyone else had this problem? What could it be?????

The alt. is probabaly to blame here They all just go out at diffrent times. As for your car who knows, the day your car went throught the assembly line the quy putting it together could of had a bad day or something. A little advise if you go to autozone or advanced autoparts to get a new alt. Buy a new one not a reman. I had a alt go bad on my Grand National and I bought a reman....I had to take it back 4 times untill I got fed up and paid extra for a new one. Also take your old one in and have them test it just to make shure it is bad. If it is not then there is something elese wrong with your charging system. My Rangers charging system went bad and I thought that it was the Alt. but it turned out to be thoes big ass fuses in my power distrabution box.
