1985 Transmission Problems

:loser: What up All?:rofl: I need :feedback: I have a 1985 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 3.0 V6. I don't know what kind of Transmission i have. The Whole Jeep is completly original. (if that helps) The transmission if shifting really slow and i don't know why. could any one help me out? And if you could help me with where i can buy parts for my truck? I'd really apprieciate it. I live in Tucson, Arizona.

Yes, it is a Chevy - made 2.8 V6.
Usually moderators discourage people from resurrecting very old threads like this one.
BTW the transmission is a Chrysler '904' 3 spd automatic, with an Steyer-Puch lock-up torque converter (made in Austria)
They all seem to have shifted slowly, even when new. Its easy to install a shift kit to speed things up.
