Hatch pull down unit question

Does anyone know what the bushing in the solenoid of the hatch pull down is? Mechanic said that it was bad but he wanted to charge me $700!!! Have 89 GTA Trans Am

dude, Go on www.ebay.com and get a new one for about 50-70.00 or get a used one from there or in a junk yard and that will usually run about 10-30.00 and take 4 bolts out and disconnect the wires and BAM you have a new or a better used pull down motor and you can tell that mechanic to F-ck off! :iceslolan

Yea thats what I'm planning to do... Just that my pull down is weird because I think its a little different... Will try anyways... Thanks for the motivation. lol
