1. Stock turbo, stock internals, can i get a loud PHHSHSS sound from just a BOV, stock boost? I want to get the loudest F****** sound possible. I will eventually upgrade everything internally and get the boost up to 20-25, but i have more questions..
2. What is a 6 bolt motor? How is it different than the other motors?
3. 300HP at the wheels+ good driving, would probably mean what 1/4 time?
4. Is it possible to chrome the valve cover without damaging anything?
5. What are the different types of turbo upgrades available for the 2gs? I know theres 16g, 20g, ect ect.. but is the only difference size and how much boost they can handle? Plus, is it possible to chrome the turbos?
6. Finally, if i get everything in place, 300-400hp at the wheels, whats my gas mileage going to be like? I hope its more than my blown 454 chevelle :( :( 3 MPG on that, 1/4 time 8.60 no nitrous.

ok i'll try to answer your questions even though i am not an eclipse expert:)
1) safe boost on the stock turbo would be smthn like 15PSI and with an HKD SSQV blow off vented to the atmosphere, your car will sneeze preety loud:)
2) 6 bolt motors are the motors of the 1st generation dsm's, they are used because they have much less chances of crank walking, and they can run a bit more power (~450hp)than the 2nd generation ones(~400) on stock internals safe.
3) i guess that kind of whp would get you in the lower 13's or high 12's
4) of course you can, or you can get an aftermarket already chromed
5) chromed(polished) turbos can be purchaced and there is a wide variety of turbos that you can use on the dsms. the difference is how much hp they can produce, how fast they spool and how much boost they can hold (not exactly sure about that)
6) i dont have a clue but it wont be 3-6 MPG , thats for sure:)
somebody correct me if i'm wrong
hope that helps

the 6 bolt motor has a better oiling system for the crank & the rods, which helps them stay more lubricated, that is the main reason why 2g's are likly to get crankwalk... althought if you take good care of your car - change the oil regularly and keep it nice, then the chances for CW are very slim... but there are a few cars that get it, and if its gunna happen there isnt really a chance to stop it, unless you catch it right as its starting and that is hard to do.

I was referring to him, I'm not even going to bother answering all his questions. Your post seemed to be fine, but I dont really know or care much about CW as it doesnt concern me.
But to be nit picky
"2) 6 bolt motors are the motors of the 1st generation dsm's" - red_alert753
Wrong, in late 92 they changed to the 7-bolt
Venting your BOV is dumb, chroming engine parts, if it your thing go hard. Stock internals can run 20-25 psi,

People have done 500 whp on stock 6 bolts. Thats at 30-31 psi boost on a good setup. 300 whp is good for roughly 13.0 at 105 on a car that weighs 3350 with driver. There are so many turbo upgrades available your head will spin. Start with vendors like
