What sort of defects 4WD tyres may have?

I am ready to purchase an other set of new tyres for my 4WD.
This is the second set of Cooper. I am still having the same problem with the second set even I was promised by the tyre shop the 8 ply will make the difference.
I do not want to spend an other $1500 for the same problem.
