hey i got a 2000 silverado z71 and i was wondering if anybody knew exhaust sounds good. i want dual exhaust that sounds deep and loud and i wasnt sure what was best. i also wanted to know what the biggest tire i can fit on it without it being too close or looking like too much stuffed under it. if anybody can help me out that'd be great

exhaust, personally i would go with a Flowmaster, either 40 or 50 series muffler...
tires, for that truck, i would put 265/75/R16 on but if you even wanted to go a little bigger you could go with the 285/75/R16, I know a few guys with the BF Goodrich - All Terrain 265's and they look real good on a silverados....

I have a 2000 Silverado X-cab and I have a flo-pro muffler on it. Single in, dual out.It has a nice rumble at idle and under acceleration, but is not so loud at speed. Great for highway cruising. Mike

I'll second the BFGoodrich All-Terrain TAs. I put a set on my Z71 and kept the stock size (265/75/R16) and I like the look. I'm sure you could go a little bigger without a problem but the more aggressive look was what I wanted, plus I also like to keep things close to stock size. They've got some really good traction on road and off, granted they're not as good off-road as I'd get from some true mudders but they're a lot better than the Firestones that came on it. Here's a couple pics (sorry they're so big) to give you an idea of what they look like on the Z71 . . .
