Over ambitious evo 8 project

my standard fujimi evo 8 arrived today, got bored waiting for the gt wing version.

the plan is this this max power magzine mock up ...

the black bits are carbon fiber and thats where the amitious part comes in. thanks for the carbon how to is all i can say. and the bloke down the paint shop is trying to convince me the orange parts should be candy, again a thing ive never tried

ill get started as soon as my work bench is clear (so about a week with all the crap on it)

will ambition outstrip talent ??? find out over the next few weeks.

wow, thats gonna be a lot of carbon fiber... A LOT of carbon fiber... this should be cool though.:iceslolan

Looks like it'll take a while. So, what wheels will you be using, something similar to the pic, I'm assuming.

expect it to ages too, or till it gets tricky then its back in its box on the shelf LOL

so far removed the door handles and swage lines, paint the interior today.

for the wheels i went for a set of fujimi nismo gt4 rims just because i liked the look them. but thanks to fujimis poor copying skills the spokes are flat so theyll look really close when chromed up

make sure ya get plenty of microsol if your gonna use carbon decal, but if you dont feel your up to it why not use gunmetal grey mixed with a bit of black paint to darken it and spray it where ya need carbon?

made the templates up for the carbon parts now, there not that complex. differcult part is the front bumper! the plan is black bits painted semi gloss black then over laid with carbon decal (ive taken out microsol and decal shares), so the window rubbers dont need painting after.

will microsol sink the decal into the bumper ?

Looks good, but for some reason, I'm just not feeling the paint job. Maybe when its done, it'll be better.

sounds like a plan, too much for me to do, i'd rush it and screw it up.
