Hey all,
Glad I found a actvie forum for the 3000GT VR-4.......First off I had just recently bought a 92' VR-4 and was wondering if there was a way to find out out what mods have been done to the car.........I was reading in the forum that 14-15 psi of boost was good , but driving the car for the first time tonight I noticed that the boost gauage just slams itself to the top well above 14psi..........so is there a way to check the amount of boost .....and is the boost controled by the wastegate.........

The main problem that I have is that the original owner has probably trashed the syncros in 1, 2, and 3rd gears, is that gonna be a pricy thing to fix........I am gonna take the dealer to have them check it out tommorrow...........


now with the turbo's ....how do ya check if there stock?? I know there is a hard plumb kit in it for the turbos.......but if i have to much boost that is bad right???

lol...sorry to be a noob bout this but i got the car looking really good (bodywork is all done now)

www.3si.org active site for Stealths and 3000GTs :iceslolan . Just a word of advice, got here and go to the forums and click "search" at the top and search for your answers first. We don't tend to respond well to new people asking questions that they could have gotten answered through searching. I'm not supre familiar with the TT cars but if the last owner had any sense AT ALL, you will be able to tell what mods have been done. I severly doubt there are bigger turbos without some fuel mods and definantly intake and exhaust. Not to mention a SAFC and gauges. But like I said, go to 3si and you will be able to find all your answers. Sorr I couldn't be more help.

hey man, first the stock boost guage is very inaccurate, you should get a aftermarket one if you want to klnow how much boost you are running, and it is bad if you run to much boost and you can tell if your running to much boost, when you have it floored and the boost guage is pegged does the car surge back and forth, or does it run smooth?, if it runs smooth chances are your ok :)

Yes it does surge quite a bit but I did notice that the wastegate soleniod, the bottom line was broke off(like someone did it on purpose)....could that be the reason .........I check all over for a post of this nature and found nothing ........

I been to 3si and even got the cd .....much much info on it (would even like to applaude all who had a hand in makin it)
