89 GP Dies when given gas!

Car starts and runs at an idle, however when given gas it just turns off. Almost as if key is being turned off, it does not sputter or try to stay running. We have replaced the fuel pump and filter as well as the coil pack, ECM and the cadalidic converter. Nothing is working. The car still has battery power and is staying charged. I have read several other reports of this complaint but still havent found an explanation or fix.

1st off, what kind of engine does it have? I4 or v6 (not familiar with what came in those in '89) Well, if you have/have acess to a volt meter, check the voltage at the TPS, assuming it has one. And check the voltage sweep from idle to WOT and then ohm it out. Also you could check and verify the throttle blade operation, take off the air cleaner tubing, shine a flashlite down it and see if it's plugged or full of carbon (the black stuff) Have you hooked a fuel pressure gauge up to it yet? What kind of pressures are you getting if any? Hope this maybe helps.
