Surviving a Crash?

Does anyone know how well the primera/G20 protects its passengers from collisions over 40 mph. I hope nobody here would be speaking from personal experience, but I have to ask. I saw a horrific accident the other day and it made me think.:(

i can tell you from personal experience:eek: i crashed head on with a concrete pole at about 50-55 mph. i survived that crash cause i was wearing my seatbelt and the G is a well built car. i had a P10 at the time and most of the damage was taken by the front reinforcement bar, never never take it off cause it saved my life. my whole front turned into a "V", cause hitting straight in the middle of the car. my hood turned into a tent, my windshield cracked, engine got pushed back a little, all my headlights smashed to pieces, airbag hit me pretty hard, and worst of all, my Broadway mirror shattered all over me :( i was pretty surprised i survived from that crash, car was totaled. the car is safe over 40mph, but not sure what the limit is. well hope that helped, i think i will get another P10.

It wasn't over 40 but I was going 35 and was t-boned by a car that was going 30. If someone had been sitting on that side they could have broken their arm if it was on the armrest.

My old '91 (old because of crash) was in a freeway accident. A guy decided to come to a full stop right in the middle of I5. There's really nothing you can do in this kind of situation except hold on. With heavy traffic on both sides; I couldn't turn out of the way. Amazingly, 60 -65mph crash isn't as bad as you think it is; just as long as it's not something like a pole (J/K). It was my 9 month pregnant wife in the passenger seat, and my 2 year old in the back and me driving........Not a scratch. My system is a different story. The box anchored down holding my (then) 3 JL Audio 10W6's became dismounted and all that weight with that force behind it smashed both of my brand new Phoenix Gold amps.:( Luckily, since it wasn't my fault, I obtained her 5 year newer twin sister with spunk (MT now, AT then) and got FULL re-imbursement (not 60% like most ins. comp.) for all my performance mods, wheels and stereo stuff. Full coverage is worth every cent in situations like this. So, yeah; I think falling off a cliff with your mom is the only thing topping this situation. Regardless, we all came out without a scratch. THANK GOD. Yet another reason I love G20's, they saved my life........in a '91, no airbags mind you.

My 91 P10 was T-boned at 40+. 4 passengers, only minor injuries(wiplash). It blew out all the driverside windows. After the crash I had only about 1 1/2 feet between the driver door and e-brake.
Oh yea I could still drive 55 down the highway, let go of the steering and she would stay in her lane. Alignment was still perfect.:smoker2:

1 month ago this '94 Primera fell 10 metres from a bridge into the Waikato, landing on it's roof!! (the current turned it over) The driver got himself out unhurt and swam to shore. I meant to post these pics earlier but this is a good place so...
