Hey, i have a 2000 Camaro V6 5spd. and lately when i take it up to high RPM's, its been laggin like crazy. like around 4,500 RPM's to 6000, it hardly climbs, when it used to climb quite nicely for a V6 ;o). i figured its either an ignition problem or a fuel problem, so i replaced all the spark plugs, put new spark plug wires on, put a new fuel filter on, and fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank, but its still laggin. anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong with it? i'm gonna go get a diagnostic scanner here in the next few days to try and help pinpoint the problem, but i just wanted some of your guy's advice on what you think the problem may be, or if any of you have had a similar situation before. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

check to see if you have any vaccuum leaks, maybe at your intake?

Also check and see how well your exhaust is coming out, it could be the begining of your catylitic converter getting plugged up. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

is the SES light on? another thing to check is the MAF. if it is not sending the correct signals then your computer will not produce the correct fuel maps for your airflow. most likely you are running rich

if the SES light is on, get the codes scanned, thats the first step. everything else is just guessing.
