need help piecing together a kit

I pretty much don't know anything about turbocharging a vehicle besides the little tidbits i get here and there that I can actually comprehend. My goal is at least 250whp, and i have about 5k to play with, but i need it to buy a kit, or piece one together, and also lower my car and if the funds allow, some rims and tires. so that 250whp is not something i need immediately. i will be running a b18a motor with just a block guard and no ems, I just want a kit that will be able to hit 250whp once i get some more internal work done and an ems to tune it properly. thanks

i would build my own kit with that money. you could have a kit with ems for 5k. Just do some research on custom kits. i would recommend a T3/T4 because you can boost a decent amount with it. look into the zdyne engine management. the gold SECU requires a laptop but you can get an old one with windows 98 ion ebay for as cheap as $400 then the SECU is like $995. thats your EMS for under $1500. that would let you fully tune your car to your likeing. but if you don't like the idea of putting together your own kit id go with the drag kit. it will give you close to the numbers you need but its kinda pricey for those kind of kits. and they use an FMU for the fuel management. it works but its not the best way. but i would go with the custom kit with the zdyne gold secu if i had the cash.

look at the FMAX and RevHard kits as well they have applications to fit the b18 in a CRX. i have the same setup...i have a B18 with a Turbo in the works and i am going custom personally because i am lookin for the sam WHP as you or more. i am going with the Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo to start and then i am going with TurboX's BOV that has a toggle switch to go from a race BOV to Street BOV from inside the car. but hey make sure you find out what you want. and it will cost a little more than 5k if you get ALOT of good parts that will hold up well but it can also cost less if you get some good parts adn some cheap ass parts but thats just my :2cents:

a T3/T4 is a pretty big turbo though isn't it. at what psi would i be able to hit 250hp with? I've decided that the drop can wait if it means that I can purchase a hondata s200 with the boost option. I've looked at the revhard kit, and it's way more than i really plan on spending, so i'm definetely going to go custom, but I hear so many good things about the stage 2 kit that I am going to order some parts from it

go with rev hard and s200

rev hard kits = 2800
s200 w/ boost n datalogging = 600
that leaves 1600 for suspension n tuning

yah, i thought about it for a while and decided that i'd go with the revhard stage 2 kit, dump the vortech bov and the revhard fmu and get a hks ss bov and hondata and apex n1 muffler and have my dad weld me some 3" pipes for the exhaust and find a pipe that will fit the intake side of the turbo and stick a k&n filter on it. problem is, i have to convert to obd1 to use the s200 and get the dsm 450cc or the rc 440cc injectors....i'll probably end up having just enough for a tein basic coilover kit, which is enough for me

that'll be funds permitting, there is no way i am going to roll around in a turboed integra at stock height, i'm going to be going for the sleeper look, but not that much of a sleeper lol...but yah, i have that tial 35mm wastegate in mind
