Dont bother with the header if you plan on going turbo since it will be replaced with a turbo manifold. I'd say save for the turbo & focus on the suspension & braking for now. Put a K&N filter on intake instead of the low quality piece. If used correcty a nitrous kit from Zex(55hp) would give the most bang for your buck - bottle refills suck ass!

Something you might find of intrest & even may save you money... http://www.importreview.com/performance.html

Welcome to AF, btw.

well im gona get the headers because i cant get the turbo till my senior year (dad says i need more driving expeirence) and so i know its kinda a waste but i still gona ddo it for more power and i dont wanna run nos .. im kinda looking for bolts on suggestions .. if i got intake headers eaxhaust what should i do next, im thinking msd sci ignition, unorthodox pulley set, apexi v-afc , skunk 2 racing intake mani with biggest tb it can hold without port matching ... these kinda things .. suggestion plz

intake/HEADER/exhaust . . . .& I didn't say anything about NOS. Pulleys won't do much stock or with turbo - but every single HP you can get is never a bad thing, just not worth the money, IMO

Suspension!

hmm i was just stating about the nos but yea i feel the same bout every hp counts... do u think if i get a v-afc and get it tuned and lower my v-tec engagment to like 5000 or something i could pick up 5-10 hp or more?? or do u think i should upgrade the fuel sytem or ignition system .. i plan on doing everythign im just trying to find out whats the most benificial for starting out , since intake headewrs exhaust are the main steps u begin with whats good to do after that that will provide me with good hp gains..

AF is great!
Couple more suggestions
1. buy a factory repair manual - www.helminc.com
2. There are some very good books for Honda & Civic performance. Know what your doing before you doing it.

Head work is one of the best mod's for any car - http://www.mmrusa.com/gudehead.htm
Fuel system & Ignition with greatly help with the turbo, not so much now.

id like to get head work but its way out of my price range..do u think i would benifit more from a apexi v-afc or a jet vforce or a remapped ecu..i was thinking i could get bout the same results by tunning the air/fuel ratio and then lowering the v-tech, but to make this a lil ezier i have bout 300$ to spend for one part right now and im not sure what part would help me the best i could get a skunk2 racing intake mani for like 260$ and its claims 8-15 hp (not sure if thats whp or chp) but either thaT OR MSD SCI, APEXI V-AFC, UNORTHODOX PULLEY SET, CAM GEARS, OR A TB... BY THE WAY ANYONE KNOW WHAT SIZE TB (BIGGEST) I CAN PUT ON A STOCK B16A2 INTAKE MANI? AND WHERE TO GET ONE FOR UNDER 300.. :eek7: theres a few other parts i could get those r just some of them... MAN I NEED A JOB

HOW TO U MAKE A PICTURE COME UP ON UR SIGNITIURE????? OR ANYWHERE SO I CAN PUT UP A PIC OF MY MOTOR!!!???

1. Get a JOB!
2. Purchase a Honda performance book before pissing away money on wasteful parts/mods.

If you're going to spend $500-$1000 to get 20 HP extra, and then a year from now buy a turbo to get 100+ HP, and none of the items will transfer over.....

I guess I don't understand the point. IMO, you're wasting money on these n/a items. Save it or put it into the suspension/brakes.

I've been messing with motors for a long time, this might seem snobby, but if you're going to do something, don't screw around. Pull the motor out, put some turbo pistons in her, upgrade the head bolts, maybe get some turbo cams, or at least degree the cams, and slap a turbo on that bad boy. All this other motor work being discussed is pointless. IMO porting the head is useless without oversized valves and/or bigger cams. Trying to nickle and dime things together will rarely get you where you want to be.

Good catch, silentchamber. I'm so used to high school civic discussions I didn't notice :)
