Painting procces

I dont know how to spell process at the moment. Anyways, I was wondering what are you guys painting process...like how do you paint your car? I want to use some ideas. I'm thinking of using some primer this time. first car i did was done by krylon can no primer. Second one was done with tamiya paint with out primer. Anyways..I think I'm going to use primer this time. If you guys can, can you guys/girls tell me what you do? And sanding what kind of sandpaper? do i use?

1) Local priming and sanding to the areas, where seam lines and sink marks are eliminated.
2) Gunze Mr. Surfacer Spray 1200 x 2 coats
3) (Optional) Mr. White Surfacer Spray or Tamiya White Primer Spray x 3 coats
4) (Optional) Base color (pink for red, tan for yellow etc) x 2 coats
5) Body Color x 4 coats by spray can or airbrush
6) Tamiya TS-13 clear, or Gunze Super Clear x 8 coats

After so many layers of paint, I still don't lose the details, so you can guess how thin, each coat is.

What kind of sandpaper? anykind?

use rough (coarse) grit for grinding away plastic, and fine grit for smoothing.
