Code 7

well i'm getting one slow and a 7 fast blink code, i know the 1 is o2 but what is the code 7?

any way the story, i was driving about 80 mph running my car pretty (the DX) har, and my check engine light came on, i switched my car on and off again, and it was gone, and was fine for a lil while then it came on again

Code 7 is a TPS code... either your TP Sensor in the back of the throttlebody is borken or malfunctioned, you're gonna need a new one.

It's gonna make your car run rich and fry your O2 sensor...

aight thanks, that explains a lot, like why i have been getting mid 20s for my gas milage, and been running poorly. and dubois is about a 3 hour drive from the philly area, i made it to the one reading meet and it took about that.

Yeah my TPS was busted on my B16 when I got it, so that's how I know.. :D

Anyways, mine fried my O2 sensor... that was just the beginning..

The excess fuel wasn't getting burnt completely, because the distributor cap was going bad... so it all melted my cat completely shut on my way to upstate NY....... talk about shitty luck! All because I didnt get a new TPS.....

Oh well... got it all fixed up good now :)
