SO here is some preliminary pics.. Body mods include opening roof scoop, opening side vents and rear vents, silver carbon fiber hood and shaved right rear gas cap door (will make a new custom one)
So here we go:

The body color is Tamiya Mettallic Black with the Tamiya light gun metal fade closer to the bottom of the body panels. I will take better day pictures to show the color fading better.
The battery is indeed a F&F Supra battery detailed with model master photoetch tie downs and some decals representing warning markings. The size is very similar to the ugly "attached" battery that comes with the Mitsu.
The rims will be Yoko's AVS 5 rims with SAS photoetch brakes. May be I will do a hot to on "ICE" stereo system I am installing and a How to on the muffler....

Sounds like a plan slk, can't wait to see it done, to bad amt had to screw up the amt kit, seeing as revells metal body, build rest in plastic has such a nice engine bay and pretty close to being just right for the turbo 2.0 4g63. Can't wait for those mufflers so I can order my R32!

The quality of your work done on this car is beyond belief, I know how hard it is to make meagerly made model look respectable, but you just made a stunning masterpiece out of this!
Good job, especially on all the little extra's you posted, nice detailing and eye for detail, I ll be watching this space.

Slk, when your done with this you have to build the metal body Revelll edition, I admit that your work on this is magnificent, but just think if you built the revell car, I mean you might want to strip its paint (green and blue bird) for another color, but that's not the point.

I don't know how to put this... the way the intake is setup is for a non-turbocharged engine, but you have the turbo on it, don't hate me, I am only saying this in case you don't know ;)
you'll probably hate me anyways because I have planned to paint my eclipse black also and I'm not changing my color, you've only reinforced my decision as yours looks HOT. :iceslolan

But as blueboost said your turbo setup is alittle off the wall. A turbo uses the exhaust fumes to spool up and suck in more air, but I'm assuming you knew this already and this setup is similar to... I'm gonna go ahead and stop talking now, your Eclipse looks great1

blue boost, I previously owned a 90 eclipse gs, 4g63 n/a, and the intake pipe came out on the left, but was on the backside of the engine, and the exhaust on the front, I'll post some pics of my revell's engine bay to show you what the real turbo-charged 4g63 would look like, AMT really f***ed this kit up. BTW, slk, looks good, I like that gas cap.

are you putting a FMIC on this beauty? I guess that would be an important question considering the intake :iceslolan

I say just throw the header on the front where it belongs, and kinda rig it up on the turbo.

Ok.. here is a little update, got brakes done and funny gas bottles.. so here is step by step:
SAS brakes and calipers is a superb kit!
First we put the brakes together and paint the calipers:
http://www.joeyandmona.com/albums/album93/1_G_003.sized.jpg
http://www.joeyandmona.com/albums/album93/2_G_003.sized.jpg
Than we detail the rotors by flowing thinned black paint into the recesses and the open ventilation holes:
http://www.joeyandmona.com/albums/album93/3_G_003.sized.jpg
Then paint the center ring magnesium:
http://www.joeyandmona.com/albums/album93/4_G_003.sized.jpg
Caliper markings and face detail"

Completed brake assembly:

Nitrous bottles:
