I think you're thinking of the Cheetah.
In case anyone is wondering why it looks like a Humvee, it is because of the reason why it was built. The US Military needed a replacement for the Jeep in the 1970's, so they contacted a company called Mobility Technology International; who in turn created some instructions for building the vehicle, then contracted Lamborghini to build it. It was supposed to have competed against the Humvee for the US Army contract, but they decided to go with the domestic company.

A friend of mine's father has one. They took off the exhaust restrictor to make it loud as hell. Now they just use it to scare the young and old alike.

This vehicle has the heart of a Countach (5.2 Quattrovavole), and does 0-60 in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph. It does all this @ 6700 pounds. I would take one over a Hummer any day.

did someone say it was from the 70s? it doesn't look today-ish. by todays standards, it's crap, but back then i can see why it'd be so ugly.
