Hi everyone I'm new here and would like hello.
My exgirlfriend is buying my Prelude from me for $20,000 and I am building an 95-98 240sx/s13 sr20det project with that $. The shop thats doing the swap includes:
Stage 3 pkg ~ 380 RWHP (@ 18psi): includes S13 SR20DET red-top, Greddy Intake Manifold, Greddy VSPL FMIC, Greddy hotpipe, Greddy cold pipe, Custom 3" downpipe,
Greddy Profec B- Spec II Boost Controller, Tomei/Nismo 550 injectors, Walbro 255 Fuel pump,
T3/T04E 50 trim turbo, T3/T04E conversion manifold, APEX SAFC, APEX GT SPEC cat-back (3.74" piping), Blitz or Greddy BOV welded to cold-pipe, new small battery, Flex-a-lite dual 12" fan,
z32 MAFS, Spec stage III clutch, Install and wiring of motor and all parts above, fluids, belts, plugs, charged a/c, and dyno tuning... total package $9900
I was planning on adding pistons and rods/rings, and was wondering if you have to install sleeves or anything else, or even if the engine has sleeves or not.
Also do you need to upgrade the driveshaft and/or axles? :feedback:
Any help would be appreciated ,Thank you

Uhm.. I don't know about the sleeves thing.. I know it HAS sleeves, but if they can hold... Can't answer you that.
I can answer you about the driveshaft/axles.
They should hold up for some minor (ahem, i mean MINOR) abuse, and normal driving... Its when you start doing burnouts, banging gears, drifting, or launching the car at the strip that you'll be putting yourself at high risk for snapping them. Pretty much anytime you stress it hard and quick. If you replace your axles, though, you'll have to then worry about your next weak link.. Drivetrain should always be looking upon like a chain... say your axles are your weak link.. your driveshaft is next... so you replace your axles... which means your driveshaft'll be the next thing to snap, if something is going to snap. so you replace that. Then its your gears in your tranny. Heh... Sometimes, unless you're made of money, you can't win. But i guess i'm goin overboard with personal experiences. I guess they'll last you until you get new ones... don't beat on them too much and risk breaking them until then... just use em for what they're for, for now.. getting around.

What are you gonna do to the suspension to make a car that powerful handle well?

I drive pretty cautiously , and will just wait for things to break before I replace them, unless I win the lottery. I don't really wanna race or drift, I just like having a fast car.
As for suspension , I plan on installing tein basic damper kit. any other suggestions?

i say a 5 lug conversion and 300zx z32 brakes. 5lugs since your gonna do all that work you miht as well do it anyway, i know you can do it and keep it 4 lug. then again there are always the pedestrians and the k-rails like rw240 said. it would be like playin GTA.
