Earl Scheib does the cheapest, at around $149.
Turns out you can get a good paint job there for around $300.
After that, it depends. You can spend thousands!
Personally, I'm going to research and find a good place in Albuquerque. Santa Fe shops charge twice the price.
The cheapest of all is to duck over into Juarez or Tijuana and get paint and body done there...they charge 1/4 the price.

PS-Just don't let them know where you live and where you park the car. My buddy got his paint and body done there...2 weeks later they came and stole it back, had made a copy of the key while they had it.

It is really important to remember one very important thing:
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!!
If you pay $195 for a complete paint job you'll be crusin' through town in a $195 orange peal express ride. If you go the distance and get a quality paint job with multiple clear coats you will look like you just came from a show. I work at a car dealership so I have people who come to me looking for the same thing as you. Most of the jerkoffs I send to the local bondo factory, but the real car nuts I know want a quality job, and they pay for it. If you do get the multiple clearcoats your car will need waxing half as much, get fewer chips from the cement truck assholes, and shine like a star. This and multiple, thin coats of color will make your car smooth, slick, shiny and beatiful for life.
Don't be cheap. If you can't afford it don't change. Silver is respectable. If you wan't to hire Jose and Josbee to fuck up your car and then steal it, go to TJ. If you want fucked up paint and you want to pay more, go to a one day shop. If not, nut up, trust me, its the only way to get respect from true car enthusiests.

Macco will spray metallic polyurethane paint with a coat of clear for about 180 and they guarantee their work. I took my car back 4 times until they made it perfect still only cost 180.

macco is crap. yeah they will fix it over and over but I would rather pay another hundred and get it right the first time. also after about a year or 2 their jobs look extremely bad.
also it is possible to do the engine bay without taking the engine out? my car is red I want it blue it would look like crap

A nice job should be about a grand. I saw an RX7 one time with 11 coats of yellow paint. If its for show, then dont be cheap.

And if you're gonna spend a lot on a good paint job, make sure you are 100% sure its the color you want, that way when you get the bill, it won't be so bad, worth it for sure.

when i got my car it was already whole repainted white, but soon it started to peel every where.
You get what you pay for. Cheap paint jobs get done fast and not that much care goes into the craftsmanship.
Sure they might stand behind their work, but who has the time to keep bringing it back to the shop?
I only recommend cheap paint job if you plan to sell your car for more money.
