has anyone here put a weber carb on a 81-83 cvcc 1.5, if so is it worth the time and money?

Hi. This may help. I am from South Africa and have a 1986 Honda 1500. We changed the original carb to a weber 36 DCD 7 carb and it works fine. The feul economy is great and the power as well, and there are much room for improvement, by playing around with jet sizes. Hope it is of some help.

i neverthought u could do that, i guess it is possible but i dont know how beneficial it would be. as for the weber carb i have dropped that idea because of the money and i am not sure whether i am going to keep this car for the next few years or not

My friend did it on his 86 Wagon non CVCC. He had to use a cvcc intake manifold. It was a 32/36 downdraft. It ran awesome but the jet size was too big so it had tons of topend but no low end torque. If he had the right jet size his car would haul. He sold it though.. too much trouble for the gain i think. Might as well go dual mikunis.. or m/c

I have a set of dual 40mm dcoe weber side drafts. I havent put them on yet but when I do I'll give you a heads up. I am putting them on a 85 civic wagon (ew1).
