Well hey 82civicwagon... I've got an 82 Civic wagon as well (in NZ it's called EN1).

In response to your question "Are there any mods you can do to an 82 Civic wagon 1.5L?" Of course, you could potentially mod any car. There's your usual assortment of mods to your engine... i/h/e etc. But you've gotta ask yourself: Is it worth it? What's the point?

The car is very old and not worth a lot of money, and not a good starting platform, so unless you're willing to spend a lot of money and make it a project car, I wouldn't bother. There are a lot of cheap Hondas out there that a) Look much better, and b) Go much better, so I think that if you're spending money on modding that, it'd be a wise move to keep the money and buy something a little better to start with!

3rd gen Civic Si / 1st gen CRX Si is a good, cheap start (they come with the ZC (1.6 DOHC PGM-FI) standard. Oh, hang on, they don't come with that in the states, do they?? At any rate, better than the wagon). A clean example with no rust (important), and lowish k's can lead to a good, cheap project car, without major work just to make it go! Good luck dude :)

1st gen si crx in the states had a 1.5l engine, not ZC or dohc for that matter

Is it carbeurated or fuel injected? That is the first question and will help in deciding on what to do. A swap is going to be a custom job with lots of custom fab work but it would be very rewarding. An 82 wagon with a swap would be awesome.:D

I haven't seen the guy for a while, but there was a dude with a '79 wagon with a ZC in it. I think it was a SOHC olive ZC, but still a great engine for that car!!! Wish I knew what happened to him...his PH name was like 2lo2go or something..he was the old school 1st gen Civic swap/mod master!!
 My first car was a '78 Civic hatch..carburated 1237cc non-CVCC motor....it rocked...63 HP...woo hoo!!

yeah, 2low2go...that's who I was just tryin to think of....your best bet is to search out a carbureted zc or something....stay away from fuel injection or its gonna get really diffcult :(

i hqave no problem working on fuel infected cars, i love the complexity of electronics and work on cars for a living, i'm not afraid of a little extra work. i actually would rather go with f.i. cuz its easire to get to pass emissions.:D
