I dont know if you have to, but I would.

You don't need to buy a new gasket the old one will be fine. I did not buy a new one for mine and it is fine. And just make sure you use the real high temp. paint. I know there is a 500 degree one but i would go with the 1200 degree one.

ashah000 what size grit did you use? I think im gonna start with a stripper to get the paint off then go with 320, then 600, then 1200. What did you go with? Also what color paint do you guys think i should go with? Im also painting my calipers and dont know what color would be good.... any thoughts?? :smokin:

I went from 320, to 600, to 1200 to 1500 (I think) it was a long time ago. The color is your choice, I went with silver, and it looks fine. And I think i am going to paint my calipers blue, I have seen a lot of blue calipers and they look real nice.
