I am puttin together the ultimate sleeper.I have bought a 1978 holiday 88.Well I have a 1969 "F" block bored .30 over.I also have a set of "c" heads being redone with 2.07 intake valves.I am putting my 66 425 forged crank and rods in this block. My rods have are being redone as we speak.I am going to put a set of mondello forged pistons with 10.25 compression a torker intake and a comp extreme energy 294/306 250/[email protected]/.554/.558......Another words yes it gets my 4000 stall and 400 turbo transmission.I still have to order the bigger oil pan and the pistons.I found a 8.5 2.41 rearend in a pull a part yard complete for 60 bucks.I am going to go with 3.73 gears. And if this don't make me go fast enough at least it will be built for N.O.S! I want to make this car handle as well.I don't expect it to really handle just as long as it is a little better.I found some 442 scoops from VFN i am going to buy for 150.00 bucks later as well.So is this crazy? I have a brother-in-law has a 383 I built in his S-10 with the performer rpm package. And little does he know I am going to hand it to him on raceday. He is a little conserned. :lol2:

I live close to NORWALK R/P, the premire IHRA track in the country & hostes the Dick Miller event.
There is a "brother" that has a '82 98 regency, skirts & all. Bolts on a set of "buick" rallys & stickies
& goes low 12's. It's gone 11.70's & liftes the L/F wheel a good 4"-5" with a little juice. Talk about "sleeper", my jaw droped the first time I saw
this thing.

Ya these cars are worthy of performance.A Holiday 88 is the 2dr with buckets and a console and floor shifter and it only weighs about 3600 lbs. Some of the old cutlass weigh more. And it would be fun to drop it in a G-body, but I like having my heater when it gets cool. And besides most motards can't tell by looking if it is a 350 or 455.I will just tell them it is a good running 403.A stock 425 pushed 375hp and 440 lbs of torque. If i can get close to 400 wheel hp it is only 1 hp to 9 lbs that will make a 12 sec combo every time. :naughty:

that sounds like a great combo
b-bodys have big engine bays
sometimes i feel like crawln in there and takn a nap next to the small block in my caprice
dont forget torque
maybe look into some impala ss parts for the handling but im not sure.
i hear all those cars use similar pieces but an olds big block must weigh more than an lt1
