One hand or two?

Hahahah, no, i mean on the steering wheel.

I was riding with a girl today, and she noticed i drove with two hands, and went on about how all of her (well our) friends drive with just one hand, except for her and a few others.

So, i was just wondering if two handers are a minority.

Anyway, i know this has nothing to do with streetracing, but this is the forum where im at most often and know most of the people here.

I love when people say this, because then I don't feel bad about moving it. ;) Prepare to make some friends in COMPLETELY off-topic (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=664). :sun:

well, it isnt COMPLETELY off-topic, it DOES have to do with cars, driving, and steering wheels, and you even mentioned cruise control...and the thing below completely off-topic say "talk about anything that doesnt have to do with cars" which is logically the reason why i didnt post it there, and posted it here instead

I have perfected the art of driving with my knee while i am using my hands for something more important, like getting a CD out of something:) But i drive with one hand, its comfortable.

Depends. In heavy traffic it is one due to a manaul transmittion. Most of the time it is 2 though.

It all depends on if I’ve got my car in automatic mode or if it’s in the manual mode. If it’s in auto then I drive with 2 hands if it’s in manual then 1 hand on the wheel and the other on the gear knob. :D

One- my right hand has to shift, and plus it's easier to steer with one hand. None of that drivers ed hand-over-hand crap. just mash my palm on the wheel and turn!

Definatly one hand you need the other hand free to get a good hold of what ever part of the female passenger is available!!:flash:

I always drive wit one hand.... gotta be laid back and relaxed

well my left hand on the steering wheel and the right on the shifter

or if i'm driving any of my parents cars then sometimes i go right hand on the wheel, and left hand out the window

One hand when driving and two hands when parking.

What about people with no arms?

One hand for casual cruising . . . (70% of my driving style lately)

Two hands for aggressive driving (High speeds or city driving)
