Shipping Question

Does anybody know , at what amount of shipping you must pay tax ( from Hongkong to austria ) ?? I have send a mail to a friend but i think he is on holliday so , has some of you experience by shipping from Hongkong to Austria or Germany ( maybe ist is the same ) ????
