Short Circuit Problem

Today I was driving along and glanced at my gauges and noticed they were “stuck” in potion. For instance I was at a stoplight and the MPH read 47 MPH. The oil pressure, temperature, voltage, trip odometer and normal odometer gauges had all stopped working. I replaced fuse #4 (Gauges Fuse) and stared the Blazer back up and everything worked fine for about (2) miles. After driving for (2) miles on two separate occasions the fuse blew. I took a novice approach to see if I could fix the problem but there are far too many wire harnesses that are hidden behind the gauge panel.
On another note my 4 X 4 seems to be stuck in 3-wheel drive but only when decelerating from 23 MPH to 18 MPH.
Any Advice?
Thank you for your help in advance…

I have the exact same problem, I took it to two different machanics and neighter of them could trace the problem. My problem seems to happen when my car is idle (ex. stop light) and I try to start moving. The machanics told me my alternator wasn't charging due to the #4 fuse blowing, so I am unable to drive my 95' blazer so I plan on taking it to a GM specialist soon to fix the problem .... that is if it can be fixed. I'll let you know what they say the problem is once I get it in the shop.

There has to be a worn wire somewhere.
Check to make sure all electrical connections under the hood are seated properly and have you alternators and batteries load tested.
