possibly your catalytic converter's gone bad or just fell off the car completely-kinda like one of my friends. not the brightest person, shifted into reverse going 40mph, his fell off and is sitting in his back seat right now.

The air/fuel mixture is probably to rich. This is because the rotten egg smell is actually hydrogen sulfide. All gasoline contains sulphur in varying amounts, and a number of things can aggravate the rotten egg smell. The brand of gas you buy may be part of the problem, try switching brands, your current brand may have a high sulphur content. If your a/f ratio is rich, it will give the catalytic converter more unburnt gasoline, and therefor more sulphur. The cat will then produce more hydrogen sulfide and the smell will be more prominent. Check your air filter to see if its clogged, as that can cause a rich condition. It certainly isn't anything to do with your turbo.

Too much sulfur will ruin the cat. After the problem is fixed, get the emissions tested.
