I have a 1993 Escort LX with a broken engine mount. I want to repair this, and was wondering if anyone could tell me:
A) If this is something that I can do on my own (i.e. not taking it to a professional garage)
B) If this is possible, what are the steps?
Any and all help is appreciated. This is a car that my fiancee and I just recently purchased (used, obviously) and other than this problem, the car seems to run fine, so I'd like to save the car, if possible.
Thanks for any help

you cant fix, a motor mount, but you can replace it fairly easily, just pull the old one off after supporting the engine (you probably dont even need to do this) and put the new one on. youll probably need a friend to help line up the holes because the motor will drop a little when its missing a mount. thats about it good luck
ps - you can probably find a mount at a scrap yard for 30 bucks
