Hey people
I've started to notice that with the cold temps now upon us, that my car won't idle after a cold start.I have to rev the engine slightly a couple of times and then she'll idle properly...Would it need a good throtle clean? Or are there any adjustments...Its got 125,000 km and I bought it used 2 months ago...Any help would be great...thanx

I don't know how kilometers translates to miles, but there is a maintenance that Nissan recommends at 120,000 miles. I'll see if I can find it. Until then, I personally do the same thing to any used car I ever bought. Replace any worn rubber parts (belts and hoses), flush the radiator, change the air filter, change the oil/filter and use Chemtool (engine cleaner) on most of the visible moving parts. I assume the previous driver DIDN'T take care of the car. Start simple.

Thanx for the quick reply..I am gonna go & get the oil changed and proly get the engine flushed out...I will also get the throtle cleaned up & hopefully THAT will cure my lil problem...I would take it to a Nissan dealer but their "door rate" is very high...I will let you know

I have/had the same problem.... the general concensus was cleaning the throttle body would fix it. I just did it today and the idle is much smoother... not sure about my cold start problem yet... my TB was VERY dirty... so at the very least I did something that needed to be done. With that many KM on yours.... it should be looked at... it'll only take you 1-2hrs.. and it's not tough.
