first of all, i am fucking ashamed to call this forum "mine" after that pitiful display in TheLogikal1's thread. i stopped reading it after the first post and dismissed it. that's EXACTLY what you all should have done. does it make any of you feel bigger or better to know you dissed someone on the other side of the country over the internet? i certainly hope not, because if so, you need a fucking life. that thread almost makes me want to turn in my moderatorship of this forum. i am that sick of this shit. this happens all the time. what are we, a bunch of fucking three year olds? NO! we are grown adults who have brains, so let's USE THEM when posting.

if you have beef with someone, KEEP IT TO PM'S OR OTHER PERSONAL MEDIUMS OF COMMUNICATION! DON'T bring your bullshit into public threads. i don't care how many of you have "beef" with other's, just bite your tongue (or typing fingers, in this case) and DON'T POST! how hard is that???

i can't believe some of what was said in that thread. you were arguing like children. i blame no-one in particular, because pretty much anyone who posted in there was flaming just as much as the next. i'm sick of it! can we all just get along? this forum is supposed to be a COMMUNITY of enthusiast who want to share their love of a certain thing, not a bunch of bickering assholes who all happen to own the same car.

i'm not sure if any of you have appealed to have stealthj banned yet. i have not checked the moderators forum yet to see if he was already banned, but if he hasn't been, then rest assured he will be. that little prick has done enough damage and it's time for it to stop. i kept giving him more chances because most of the time, he is a contributing member, but he steps over his boundaries way too often these days, trying to tell me what to do and thinking he can flame anyone anytime. well, he's about to learn the hard way that that kind of shit doesn't fly.

the rest of you. can we all just LIGHTEN UP please? i want to ENJOY these forums, not come in here every day having to close and ban and close and ban. it's not fun anymore. these forums are getting really pitiful, and i don't want to see that happen. so can we all just try to put the "beef" aside and get along?

i might not have been in this forum too long but as far as ive seen the attitude of this forum has to change....You all should be grateful to have somebody who cares this much about the forum, and yet you give him this bs to put up with.

I totally agree also. I used to come to this forum often. It would help me to learn more about a car I love. Recently I haven't been coming here often because instead of seeing facts or interesting threads about one of my favorite cars, I see all this bullshit fighting which is taking away from what this forum should be about. Is this the most controversial forum on AF? Possibly, but that is not a good thing and it needs some change. We need to drop the bullshit fighting and stick our interests together to make this place a MUCH better environment. I hope all of you have thoroughly read Brian's post, because if not, and this arguing and bullshit is still going on, I am positive that many people who come to this forum will stop coming and that will include myslef. Keep it real people, stay on topic and keep your fights off the threads, or this forum WILL slowly fall apart.

That guy was worthless, he was a little immature 17 year old who liked to start shit on the internet because he had nothing better to do. And who are the other 2 main contributor? Obviosly not that great of contributors if I cant remember them. I think you are in the minority of wanting stealth back.

Also, who is the guy that was quoted in Dorikin's old sig?Something about the "general feeling of the community about bandwagon jumpers..." Don't get me wrong, there are still a few in here that are VERY helpful, but at this rate, they too are getting fed up and possibly leave as well (whether its on their own accord, or being banned after losing their marbles) --Just a shame.

There, you totally blew off the guy's question, saying it was the same engine, but the other people who posted proved you otherwise. People make mistakes, and again, with the vg30 thread that you just closed, you blew off the main question saying "you didn't see the point" and that the engine was a "clunky old SOHC" not worth the LOAD of "custom fab", but lo-and behold, he proved you and everybody else wrong. Theres a great example of someone talking about a swap, and then actually going and proceeding to do it! -- In fact, he didn't even tell anybody but went about it on his own, which I REALLY respect.

Now my intention isn't to attack you, or anybody else, but just give people a chance before you judge them and stop assuming the worst. Now that we know he's trying to put in the VG30 SOHC not DOHC, we have yet another -pioneer- if you will, to test out those capabilities.

If i recall, you wanted to swap in an RB25 loooong ago when you had your 240. You asked clutch why didn't he swap the VQ30 rather than the VG30? Hmm... I DO know for a fact that you've started old threads saying how sweet it would be to swap the vg30 into the 240, and even pointed out the engine and the car with the actual swap done, linked from ebay. Vq30... that wouldn't have anything to do with you getting a maxima now would it? I'm sure you didn't like it when people got on your case for asking "stupid" questions... don't go out and do the same thing to others!

it was dorikin, and i that got banned for a week to cool off. dorikin got banned, cause he wouldnt stop fighting, while i almost got banned, but then i got banned too, cause i was in a fight with stealth.

Yes, I sincerly think he was worthless. Maybe he did give some good info now and then, but most of us here could of given the same info without flaming others. I'm pretty sure he didnt care if he was banned or not because he would of stoped after the first couple of warnings.

Also, it says you joined in August way after Mike (old_s13) got banned. So I dont know if you just read all his old posts or what but you didnt see the whole picture. Mike wanted banned, he let one of his friends get on his name and make fun of all the mods.

yeah I guess I'm just not going to get involved in anything other than 240sx's anymore. From now on, I'll only read 240sx posts, ask 240sx questions, and no other questions that would deviate from the above. If I want to talk to someone or say something to someone personally, I'll e-mail/IM/PM, there's no point in posting it in the public forums and letting other people read it because it'll only bring stupid shit in the forums and get people pissed off.

well sup guys. its been a while eh? anyways i decided to take a break in this forum and contribute to the streetracing forum becusae thats what i do more. but i dont' mind helping newbies. i mean i love helping people with questions as long as i can help. it doesnt' get old. they can ask me the questions all they want and i'll be glad to help them, but that is only if they take my answer seriously. and if they weren't here just to jump on the bandwagon and then are unwillin to learn some truth about certain things

example: most stock SR's running on a Stock turbo will not be as fast you think they are. there are a few excepts that can be in the 13's with a stock turbo. but that requires tuning. most people dont' have access to dyno's.

but yeha i'm talkin about stuff like that. who thinks SR is god and that the KA is a crappy truck motor. i don't hate them if they are willin to see both sides. but if they are soo biased and are unwilling to see facts, then its those guys that i can't stand.

i still ocassionaly visit to just to see whats up, but i see alot of new people here and i barely see any familiar names anymore. i mean if something is interesting enough, i will post. such as htis one. heh

i never really voice my opinion too much. but i do have one thing to say. its about the newbie questions... i know at times they seem redundant or ridiculous but i still think all those peole deserve answer. whether its a straight answer or check the FAQ or even a google search. i wouldn't say that these people will never do the swaps either. keep in mind most people with 240's seem to be under 20. when i was 17 i sure as hell wouldn't have the money i have now to work on my car. i think the best coarse of action is just not respond to a thread you don't like. if your sick of tellin people about sr20 or whatever swaps, just don't respond, most likley someone else will. One more thing i've noticed in life, no one like being told that there wrong, so if they are, try and post in a not offensive, informative way. it seems to many people here are trying to "own" other people. that shit is corny. i was objective about the supra swap because if you make a sticky for a toyota engine swap into a nissan, it crosses all boundries of what should and shouldn't be stickied. if we would allow a toyota to be stickied on 240sx forums, that means that we should also have info on a chevy swap stickied, on a crown vic swap, on a honda swap, etc. WE CANNOT DO THIS. these are forums about the 240sx. and nissan. if you sticky info on a supra swap in a 240 i dont know what these forums are coming too. not to say that i dont believe its a cool swap --- i think it is. but it shouldn't be stickied. also he posted before searching the archives.... that web site he posted a link to was mentioned in numerous posts in the archives, even by myself.

the vq has more power and is lighter than the vg. and I STARTED A THREAD ABOUT A VQ30 SWAP BEFORE I EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT GETTING A MAXIMA. its bs if you say otherwise. and that was a nissan>nissan swap, not a toyota shit>nissan swap.

he wasn't 100% worthless. sure. he had his high points and did help out once in a while, but 90% of the time lately, he was a selfish prick who didn't heed my warnings no matter how many i gave him and KEPT FLAMING! why do you think i gave him so many damn warnings? the rule is, 2 warnings, and after that, ban without a second thought. i must've given him 5 warnings at least and he DIDN'T FUCKING GET IT! if he's dumb enough to not get the point after 5 warnings, then he deserves to be banned. he was a good member, which is why i wanted to let him stay around, but he wouldn't listen to me and just couldn't keep a lid on his flaming. he's gone for good, and that's that. it's my decision, and i feel i've done the right thing, so the decision stands.

any what does it matter what car i drive? yeah, i had a shitty Pontiac for a while. does it matter? the fact that i was chosen to be the moderator of this forum when i don't even own the car in question must say something about how much i know about them. it doesn't matter what you drive, the fact of this forum is the liking of the Nissan 240SX. some people in here don't plan to own one, some do, some have, some are trying to get one etc. as long as we all share a common interest, it doesn't matter! hell, right now i drive a Pontiac Mini-Van, and that's probably all i'll be driving until spring. no sense in buying a 240 during the winter unless i find a smashing deal.

about that thread. please tell me how i blew him off? most SR20 parts are interchangable between S13 and S14 engines. not ALL, and i didn't think of that when i made the original post. i'm a big enough man to admit someone got the better of me, unlike some people i've seen who defend their viewpoint to the death even when proven hopelessly wrong. that thread was a bad example. and the VG30 thread? just because i'm a moderator, i'm not allowed to express personal opinion? i don't see ANY point in swapping a tired old VG30 into a 240SX, because the time would not be worth the gains. he neglected also to say that he had a race-prepped VG, which is a different story altogether.

Brian: Not dissin on your ride man, just pointing out thats the time frame when the other guys were around. Nothin wrong with a car as long as it gets you from point a to point b in one piece, right klohiq? :D And yeah, he neglected to point out that the vg30 was bored/stroked/etc.. but now that he has, don't you think it's a valid swap? I wonder how much it costs for everything that he's doing--sure its more trouble but it's a street legal engine for the states which should ease people up about it, more than the SR or RB because not all of us want to risk our entire cars on "hookups" You got your opinion... but please go into detail more next time rather than a general description so we can learn which is what matters. I don't doubt your knowledge, and I do in fact highly respect you for researching the 240 because you love it so much. That's whats great about the forums-- we learn from eachother's experiences -and mistakes- hopefully and that's all that counts!

mynismo: You're just asking for it, so here goes.. This is a 240sx forum... all swaps should be welcome, from V8s, V6s, I6s, etc... what's wrong with having it stickied? Not everybody is a purist, and some people interested in those swaps may want that information which is exactly why Brian added it to the faq. Now if people want to add Honda engines, then why not?! It may seem totally impractical to you or me or probably everyone else, but we don't know that and a FAQ should keep growing since people will only continue to push the limits of their car (which is what we SHOULD be doing) BTW, I was under the impression that you 'loved' your z31 as much as your 240 but the transmission died on you and you didn't have any more money to drain into it. And up till now, you still don't believe the VG30 guy, and I DOUBT you ever will until he drives up to your doorsteps or something. He shouldn't have to prove himself anymore so I'll leave that thread to him since he's a big boy and doesn't need any defending. You asked "why didn't you get a VQ30 instead of a VG30?" After he answered you, you nitpicked on his alloys which he already explained. Why don't I just go and ask why everybody with an SR20 GOT THAT ENGINE RATHER THAN AN RB26?!? Seriously, I never mentioned that the VQ was a better engine than the VG, you just brought that up. I only meant that you STARTED A VG SWAP THREAD INTO A 240 LONG BEFORE YOU GOT YOUR MAXIMA. also on that post I posted a kill story about racing a m3 coupe the other night. It was fun taking out a M3 autobahn pedigree at top speed hehe, bet he was surprised when he floored it all the way up to 135 there was a big black Impala stuck to his bumper lol, get out the way!

Like I say I respect that Impala more and more everyday, hell its almost in sports car category by now lolol. Takes 4 people in lazy boy leather seating comfort up to 160! That would be a badass ride with another 100 or so HP. You can always be faster.

oh man a stock Impala will work a Marauder, none the less one that is modified hehe. I've driven a lot of police cars, what the marauder is based off of(sorta like caprice 9c1 and Impala SS) I can tell u the car sucks when compared to the Impala, its ok but I don't like it lol. No tendency to oversteer unless u try REALLY REALLY hard, and then maybe not even. Won't do a burnout even on a powerbrake, brakes are ok for short stops, haven't really tested the brake fade, understeers in corners but is fairly stable, ford build quality, and i don't really like the 4.6L.

If you drove both of them, you would like the Impala more.

hello person i have never talked to before. thank you for coming into the forums and criticizing me without even knowing me. if you'd bothered to read any of the guidelines or other posts on this website, you'd see that profanity is not an issue unless it is profanity directed at another member for the specific intent of doing harm to that person AKA flaming. cussing is just used as an emphasis. i am 19 years old. not every adult is a square as you have portrayed them. i am not the only moderator who uses foul language on this board, in fact, there are more moderators who use it then those who don't. but we only use it to emphasize points, never directed at a member. the fact that i am entrusted as a moderator proves that i have been deemed worthy by the very guy who started this site, so if he thinks i'm ok, then i guess i'm ok. so don't tell me to clean up my act just because YOU don't believe in using foul language, because you are one of 3 i've heard of on this board who share those beliefs.

also, go to some of the other web-boards on this vast sea of an internet, and you'll see that each board is different. some allow moderators to swear, some don't. some boards don't even care about flaming (such as another board i am subscribed to that will remain nameless). this is a board that does not censor swearing as long as it is used in a non-attack context.
