My GS has quit so many times now , so i finally took it to my uncles shop and he said it may be my alarm causing it to shut off. Its a "viper" alarm , and it was tied into the starter. He took it off and ive went over 280 miles without it quitting. Could that have been the problem?

probably.... although i cant see an alarm "shutting a car off" :smokin: I'm assuming it had remote start since it was in with the starter, maybe who ever installed it got something switched backwards.... :dunno:

Gotta know what alarm you have and what you mean "shutting of the car"? When a Viper alarm is wired the right way, once the car is started, there is no way it can be shut down via the Viper. They only have starter kills not ignition or fuel cut offs.

well it wasnt the alarm because it quit yesterday...well, it really didnt even start. I dont know what it is, it has to be something electrical. Its turning, but not firing. stupid 420a $hit.

Could be anything. You are sure that you not getting spark??? Try to use a code scanner on the computer??? Probably a crank sensor then. When they go, there will be no spark.

Does the car have small sudden jerks while accelerating? Sounds like the plugs if it just shuts off. Mine did practically the samething so i just replaced the sparks and it was fine :iceslolan
