Need Help.....Engine died...

alright, i was just drving along and all of a sudden my engine shuts down. i get the check engine light. check my oil and anti-freeze and all that stuff but everything is fine. check the ECU and its not throwing me any codes. I spent a around an hour trying different things to get it started but to no avail. I ended up havin to get it towed to a shop and they are gonna mess with it tomorrow. Anyone have any ideas? oh, and the alternator is fine, battery fine, car comes on but won't turn over. :banghead:

I'll almost bet its the timing belt. when you try to start it does it sound like there is no spark plugs in? if you ever heard the sound, it sounds like the engine is turning over, but instead of it going "rer-rer-rer-rer" it just sounds like "rin-in-in-in"
