Loud and deep, or just deep sounding? Eitherway, I'd go for either a GReddy EVO, A'PEXi World Sport or a Thermal R&D Stealth system. Those 3 hands down are the best sounding ones I've ever heard. Oh, the Mugen twin loop is VERY nice sounding as well. ;)

do not get the apexi N1 (get it if u want to be annoying, rude, inconsiderate). also do not get DC sports thermal exhausts. these listed are wayyy to loud.

I had a deep, rich sound from my Comptech exhaust/header combo when I had my b16 'Teg.

They're more expensive than most, but you can tell that by the sound...doesn't sound cheap at all.

Same thing with my buddy and his 2000 EX. Comptech exhaust...and it sounds so much better than when I had my Civic LX with the Apéx-i N1.

From my personal experience, an A'PEXi N1 on an EX Civic (6th gen) is WAY too loud, and it sounds like crap in the upper RPM range. Of course the crappy sounding ones tend to have better power gains. ;) Whoever said Thernal R&D are too loud obviously either hasn't heard one, or didn't hear the one I was refering to since they make a few different systems. Their trubo system is going to be much louder than the Stealth system. Hence the name Stealth. The GReddy EVO has a nice pleasent deep sounding tone to it, though I'd say at least 5db louder than the A'PEXi WS system, and maybe as much as 10db louder, but still nothing as loud as an N1 catback system.

You could also always go custom and buy a seperate muffler, then have custom "2.25 inch piping fabricated and connected up to it between the cat and the muffler. If you do this MAKE SURE you have them weld a resonator into place along the piping, otherwise it'll be WAY annoyingly loud, and won't have nice of a sound either. :2cents:

I tend to be a little different than the crowd I guess but ZI have a Vibrant system and it sounds soo smooth and nice. It is very quiet driving around town and when you get on it is sounds real deep but not that fake deep noise you hear on some of them. I dunno but I like it and would not have any other system, I have had alot of complements also form alot of import guys around hear, they say they like it and that is is one of the best they have heard.

It should if you have a coupe as well. You might need to get the cat connection of the exhaust piping reflanged though to fit, but it may just bolt up too, I'm not quite sure.

http://www.vibrantpower.com/ this is the company that makes it. It is nice stuff not ricerish crap like you might think by the name, I think it is one of the best systems out.:2cents:

No prob.

Let us know how it goes and what you had to do if you end up using an Si exhaust system on your EX.

Yeah, whtteg's Vibrant system sound very nice. I've heard his car and it's got a nice, fairly quiet deep pitch to it while driving around. It gets loud when he's up on the pedal but not the crappy, fart-can muffler loud everyone seems to be into nowadays but rather an agressive "my engine means business" loud, deep tone to it. I've been considering getting the same system for my car.

whtteg, was your vibrant system just an axel back or was it a cat back?

It was a axle back, but you can get the whole cat back too, I just ran into a good deal on it and thought I could have a shop do the rest of the piping.
