I want to buy a turbocharger for '99 Mitsubishi 3000GT Base, but the problm is that I cannot find a single manufacturer that makes those. Is there anyone somewhere who knows where I can get that turbo?

Thanks :banghead:

i know you might not feel like doing this, but the best way of doing it is to buy the vr4 engine. wich you can get for i believe $800
they have low mileage, and i know of a few people who have done this and its cool, and safe. in japan they can't use engines with more than 35,000 miles on it, so the ship them here and sell them
if you need the number to these guys who do this, look in the back of any import tuner or superstreet magazine, otherwise i'll post the number later, no more than 24 hours tops

Couple problems, if you buy the engine you dont get the intercoolers or piping. Ive heard the jap emisions and stuff is what makes them send them over here, not the milage. But most engine are under 50k.

That being said, neither of those things matter. He has a 99 base which is a SOHC engine. The motor mounts are different along with other parts of the chassis. You will have to get a custom turbo kit if you want one.

If you had a DOHC you could take all the parts from the turbo car and botl them up to your car, which is what me and a friend are doing to his. Im taking all the turbo stuff off mine and we are putting it on his.

the guy above me is right
matter of fact i believe you can get custom turbo's made, just for your car and hp needs, actually i'm almost positive :iceslolan

Just noticed you are in Chicago. You should check out www.3si.com, in the regonal section there is a chicago group, we get together now and then. New people are always welcome.

There is a local shop owned by a guy I know that is making a custom TT setup on a Galant. The galant is a SOHC engine with the same block, but I think the heads are different. Ill let ya know how it turns out.
