Integra Type R ecu on a B16a.

Has any one every used a integra type R ecu on a B16a if so what happened. I am contemplating running a Type R ecu on a boosted b16a. Any comments recommendations

Yip it should work, the only problems you have is if you have OBD II ECU and an OBD I engine, you will have to fit a 2nd O2 sensor.

Generaly any B series VTEC ECU will run any B series VTEC engine, but like all honda ECU's from that period it will still only manage up to 6psi of boost before either a piggy back is needed, or a complete Hondata ECU.

the obd2 ecu wont even plug into to the obd1 wiring from the ecu on the b16a if its obd1.... i have a 95 obd1 b16a and i tried to use a 99 b16a2 si ecu obd2 and the plugs are way off...

So let us say the plugs lineup perfectly. What increase can i expect if any.

if they line up u most likely will get more gas from the type r ecu and little things like timing and stuff might change but im not sure...
