I'm trying to find the coolant drain plug for the engine block on a 1995 Saturn SL1 with the SOHC engine. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated! Thanks.

You can't find something that is not there...I'm not saying your car's engine doesn't have a block drain plug...but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.
Some later engine designers deemed the block drain plug unnecessary.
Besides that...they saved 50 cents.

Actually I used it before and can't remember where it was and the manual I had that pointed it out got thrown away in the last move. So I know its there, I just don't remember where and nothing sticks out as being obvious. If no one knows I will just try a few bolts that look like they could be it under the thermostat.

It should be on the lower part of the engine block water jacket...which would be about halfway down the engine block.
Block drains are normally on the side of the engine.
I would think anything near the thermostat housing would be too high to drain the block.
