Is money an issue?

If it is, then turbo the ls motor.

If not, then do the lsvtec and turbo that.

The 2 main reasons I did not answer your question is 1) your question has been asked more times than I care to count and you could have easilky found the answer quicker by searching the database here on AF. 2) I hate when people call VTEC "vtech" and also when people call Nitrous "nos" I mean really man it seems to me that people who have VTEC engines would know how to spell VTEC because it is on the valve cover in big capatal letters VTEC

First off all VTEC'S dont have it written on the valve cover. second your a hipocrit because in your discription of your car you have nos written in it so you cant get mad at someone for doing something you do. third im new to the forum so i really havent looked around for the answer if i would have known i wouldnt have asked the question. but anyway thank you for answering my question jeff c.
and 93 weedeater i wasnt talking to the person who answered my question so stop eatin that crypt and pay attention.

By that statement you quoted, he is saying that not every vtec motor has "VTEC" on the valve cover. For example, my brothers Z6 does not say "VTEC".

thank you again jeff c ill be more clear next time i guess. also what extra would i have to do to the b18c5 head to get it turbo ready because the turbo kit that south florida performance makes comes with everything including rods pistons but its a little pricey. www.sfp.net its the stage 3.

Well, I am not much of a turbo guy...yet. I would say get a port and polish and leave it at that unless you are shooting for mondo power (500+), then you might start researching turbo cams and such. If you are truly serious about making power, I have had several people recommend the book by Corky Bell, "Maximum Boost", I think. I will be purchasing and reading it before I start my next project.

Yes, that kit is very pricey.

Also, I would suggest researching around finding people that have numbers (dyno) on their setup. Find one that you think that you might want and ask/find out what their setup it, and try to copy it.

Ok 1st noob it does not matter if there are any valve covers out there that don't have it on there any head that you would/could use for LS/VTEC is going to have it on there unless someone has ground it off or it has an aftermarket valve cover.
2nd in my sig it says " NOS wet kit " because I have a Nitrous Oxide Systems wet nitrous kit:flipa: NOS is the brand name of nitrous I have and not a discription of nitrous so take a step back and think before you post again:disappoin

i don't care who you were talking to you still don't need to be a dick about it. i was merely trying to say that it happens to everyone who uses the term vtech for VTEC. I was just doing it in the manner in which you answered WHTTEG :loser: I'll end this with a F*** YOU and have a nice day

F*** Me huh? Why because I corrected his mistake and This post should have never been started. It is newbies like this that get on here and don't bother doing a search of the AF database to find the answer to their question, they are too lazy and just start a new thread about it hopping someone will answer it for them. Then more threads about topics that are hardly ever talked about are moved further to the bottom and then to the next page and they never get answered and those are the ones that need to be answered but don't b/c the 1st page gets filled up with threads about topics that have been talked about 100's of times. And also about the nos comment thik about it like this AEM makes intakes right so how stupid would it be for everybody that has an intake no matter of brand and say "I have AEM" it is dumb. And BTW I can put it in my sig without it being in the wrong context b/c I have a kit made by NOS , however I don't go around saying that I have nos b/c I would be dumb.
The basic reason I guess for me comming off like an ass was b/c I am tired of lazy people who do not try to help themselves ans instead rely on other people to do the searching and reding etc for them, then you will see those people stop posting on here and guess what they came in and took but did not give. And that is just GAY IMO, But I am not saying that the thread starter was going to do this but that he was too lazy to search and read alittle.:2cents:

This guy is going to have a hard time at AF if he reacts that way to other people when they correct him. If you're going to post on a new place, why not take an extra minute or two to do your research, so you don't sound COMPLETELY misguided? Oh well. Just remember:

if someone is a newbie the reason they ask questions instead of doing a search is probably because they are new and dont really know how the site works.(like me) also i have a job during the day at a hospital and at night doing valet so i didnt really have time to do a search if i would of had time i def would have searched for it rather than waste your guys time. sorry i reacted badly the first time i thought you were just being a dick i didnt know that everyone who says that gets burned. so anyway i know how the site works a little better now so ill try not to ask questions that already have been answered.

It's cool man sometimes you have to come off as a dick so that people will take you more seriously, it is by no means anything personal and I am sorry if you took it that way, it was not intended to be personal.

sorry for the mix up there. i had told that other dude to quit being a dick over you saying he shouldn't say VTECH then he made a comment back that last post was not directed towards you though i agree about posting without searching.

if your interested in finding some dyno charts on lsvtec motors and such, go to www.importreview.com. they got good stuff. they test out all different types of motors and different parts, and they have all the parts listed on them as well.

that B18c5 head is usually pretty well ported as it is. more so than just the LS head i mean if you are not runnin a lot of boost 18+ i think you should not port the head and put it on something else such as a cam and maybe new valves and springs
