Gas Gauge

The gas gauge on my 98 fluctuates. It seams to always stay near full then drops to 7/8. Just before you run out of gas it drops to 1/4. Is there an easy way to tell if it's the gauge or the sending unit.

get your self a multimeter, get under your car, and start checking impedances.

your fuel pump could possibly be going out, mine went out when my gauge started doing that at 40,000 miles you need to have it looked at soon

i've never heard good things about the camaro fuel pumps...apparently the go real bad real often so check it out
