I recently had my timing belt changed because he shop said it was crakced. I had them save it to show me. Even before laeving the shop the engine light was on but the owner stated it was fine. I took it to Auto zone and it showed Cam position sensor error. Is it possible that the mechanic broke or did something to the snesor changing the timing belt. Does anyone know where it is actually located?
thanks in advance.

Thats posible, its also possible that they did not reset the CPU, I would take it back to the place that did the work and have thenm make it right

This only happens when the timing belt was put on and the cam is one tooth off top dead center. In other words, the belt was not put on correctly. It has to be timed exact. I have made the mistake a couple times, even though I hate to admit it. I am a VW tech.
