What do they mean when they say a dual stage nitrous system???

I think a dual stage nitrous system is a system that activates a lower jet right off the start (in drag racing) so that they can keep traction, and then at a certain point shifts to a higher jet. I think.

hhhmmm i thought that was that fast and furry crap where they hit the nos again only its a different button for more boost. :screwy:

Myjunkistightn is on the right track here. It is two nitrous setups one is a smaller shot and is used until the car is moving fast enough to keep traction and then the 2nd one is used after speed is up enough where traction will not be an issue, usually they are use on cars with upwards of 300hp and more. There is a guy around here who has a integra LS and he has a dual stage kit on it running open solenoids on both kits he ran a 12.8 coasting the last 100' or so because the engine blew but he has been doing it for around 4-5 yrs now I think.
