When I turn the car on then it stops. It's starting to get worse, what can I do to stop the sound?

They make anti-squeal stuff for belts (i dont think its worth jack). Or replace the belt, or maybe it just needs to be tightened. If you bought a cheap belt, you may regret it, the only belts I buy are the goodyear ones, i have had WAY too many that just kept on streaching, and squealing. Ive never had a goodyear one do that.

If its not the belt, then your alternator is making the noise. Bad bearings will sould like a constant chirping , almost a belt noise but not the same.
