Wood Trim help

I have 98 maxima sport version .. When I had about 11K I had to have the wood trim interior replaced due to sun damage(I guess that is what caused it) wood trim cracking.
Now it is doing it again.. and I don't want to have to pay 300-400 buck they are asking at the dealer.

I have had my body shop friend looking looking for a wreaked one. but no luck yet.

anyway. I'm sure this has come up in here before.. but has nissan got a secret recall or anything like that on this.. if not what's my best option.
