Spark Plug Wires

One of my spark plug wires MIGHT be bad, but it might just be a temporary reaction due to the new bearings i just put in, any recomendations on the wires? Are those 'performance' wires actually worth the buck, or just another waste of money? Thanks,

People usually find this odd, but I only trust stock wires. People have run into the low 11s with them. NGK has the highest success rate too. MAgnecores have been terrible for me. And most autopart store wires misfire right out of the box. A turbo car's dense mixture is tough to get a spark through, so any weakness that may not show up in other cars will become a missfire on a turbo car. Choose wisely :)

Magnecor provides the 8.5 mm race wire that has no equal from what i have seen. There knowlege seems to be based around the 4g63 engine....the wires come with 3 pages of info on the motor including common ignition problems. Water or oil in the spark plug wells are typical. for me it has just been cheap "performance" wires. Taylor and Accel to name a few. If in doubt stay stock on this subject.

Is ture. Our local dsm meet cordinator is the mitsu's parts dealer. Says dealership parts specially plugs and wires are best. along with oil filters etc.. Ive never had wire problems or misfireing. Thanks for my friends at the dealership i be getting 20% off parts and basically home installments by the mechanics themselves.. Got to make friends at the dealership if your not your own mechanic.

ITs true about the oil filter as well. A guy in our local DSM club worked for a lab that tested oil filters and similar things. The stock filter, and I believe it was pure one, were the best filters. Fram was among the worst. I dont remmeber any other specific names. I stick only to those two filters.

Typically I use the mobile one filter. It has the highest filter rating that I have seen. Plus it has a blockage bypass valve. So the filter won't block oil flow if it gets clogged. Anyone seen anything on synthetic oil?

i run amsoil 10w40 and their filter. i have never had a problem with anything, and i love the oil. but the flip side to this story is that i have only driven my car 2600 miles since i got it last february, and its my daily driver. :lol:

Anything Fram is garbage. Just because they market their product means its good?

I run either Purolator Pure 1 or Mitsu oil filters
