shift at redline in 1st and then drop the shift point by about 4-500 for every higher gear. I don't know your altimas power curve very well, so that's the best estimation I can give you. Example for an SR20 motor...

1st shift point: 7500rpm(redline)
2nd: 6800rpm
3rd: 6300rpm
4th: 6100rpm

Which of course begs the question "Exactly how well would an Altima's engine hold up racing. o.o; I mean...they're 4 door sedans, hardly sports compacts eh? Though maybe that's a clue for Nissan to add another "option" to the altima's eh? >.>

The altima can hold up to the racing. Its the same engine out of the 240SX and thats a sport campact. I would say red line in 1st and then shift around 5500 after that. The power band only goes up to about that far,..alittle more a little less. After that it drops drastickly. And for lanching i would say about at 2000. Rev any higher and you will be sitting there for a while when the person you are racing is pulling on you.
