cv axle ?

Hello

I just started hearing a loud rapid popping noise from the front passenger wheel area sometimes (maybe twice a day) when I turn. 127,000 miles on the car. Does this sound like a cv joint that's gone bad? If so, does anyone know how much this will cost to fix? Should I go to Nissan or some other repair shop for the part?
